This charming 2 bedroomed gite is set on the edge of the calm and picturesque village of Orniac in the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, an area of stunning natural beauty.
The newly renovated accommodation consists of 2 double bedrooms, both with ensuite toilet and shower facilities. A large living and dining area includes a fully equipped fitted kitchen with a washing machine. There is a log burner for heating and country ambiance plus air-conditioning/heating and both English and French television and Wi-fi. Outside there is an external terrace with a lovely rural view, equipped with a BBQ.
The village of Orniac is 5 minutes from the local bars and restaurants in Cabreret, where you are a short drive from the Grottes du Peche Merle. The beautiful old village of St Cirq Lapopie, voted by the French as the most beautiful village in France, is just 15 minutes away.
Both the Celé and the Lot rivers are within 5 minutes and provide the opportunity to try your hand at kayaking or just a relaxing boat trip. The more adventurous may want to hire a pleasure boat.
At half an hour distance is the medieval town of Cahors, where you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a superb twice weekly market. Half an hour in the opposite direction is the famed town of Rocamadour, built into the cliffs. The area is perfect for walking, cycling, kayaking, horse riding and other outdoor pursuits
